I bought a rear silencer from them 32 years ago for £159, which came with a life time warranty.

One of the connecting pipes rusted completely through so I contacted Double S Exhausts.

To my surprise they said if I still had the original invoice and warranty card they would take a look at it.

I had it couriered to them and within a few weeks it was repaired and sent back free of charge!

I’m amazed and the silencer is as good as new again.

Obviously I highly recommend them, hence this post.

Ha!  Slightly different take but similar outcome.  I bought a Double S rear silencer for £224.25 from Len Street in 1990.  It had rusted through by 1995 and I took it back to Len Street for a replacement.  They charged me another £233.77 for the privilege but said I'd get the money back from Double S in due course.   In fact Len Street then dropped the ball and after many more months and several unanswered letters, it was only the threat of legal action to both Len Street and Double S that Double S intervened on my behalf and Len Street issued me with a refund cheque.  That replacement is still in place today - so despite still having the invoice and guarentee card I dont think I'd be persuing them again - it really doesn't owe me does it!

Again similar story. Bought an exhaust via Paul Matty in 1990 and one of the tail pipes corroded off in about 2005. The manufacturing company (Miltek?) that had taken over the original supplier agreed to honour the lifetime warranty and supplied/fitted a new one free of charge.
