Yep, his advert on the Autotrader website is marked as 'trade'.

Personally, I agree with Paul C. It stinks.

If I was really interested in the car, I would look at it and try to get him to give a free test drive, hoping he could see I was a genuine potential buyer. I don't mind paying for a couple of gallons of fuel, but

If I knew someone who was after the carr I'd suggest he was taken by an owner from here... but tbh The seller doesnt *deserve* the sale!

hmmm...may be agree on a purchase price first, with a NOTE "assuming all mechanicals and electronics are working fine"

upon agreement, the seller must offer a test drive to the buyer..

no way to ask people paying 50 up front for a tax drive...that will kill any potential buying opportunity

Hmmm. Maybe it was just to scare away the joyriders then.

Could easily alienate genuine buyers though.

It's still on Autotrader now. Are you sure there's not a long piece of elastic tied to the bumper.
