Latest Club Lotus magazine front cover

Recommended Posts

Just received the latest Club Lotus magazine. Nice photo of early Stevens turbo on the front. Mark Blanchard's car by any chance? If so congratulations are in order!

Not bad for a car that's 20 years old this month and was no 006 off the line after the shape change.

I didn't think anyone would notice it :-)

I took that pic yesterday, but the colour didn't come out well on my Camera. So, I edited that CL pic in Photoshop. The Saturation is to high.

Also, I believe the car has had a respray, door handles have been sprayed too (Calypso Red). And the lower valance is silver, was originally vulcan grey. Correct me if I'm wrong Alan. (I know a bit about Alan's car as it's almost identical to mine ).

Mark has brightened up the cover of the mag (made it look a bit nicer in my opinion) as the Printers seem to have lost a bit of colour/saturation from the original pic. It might have been caused by going from RGB to CMYK for colour seps.

My car was resprayed before I got it - I believe by Derek Dean (former Dealer).

I've just left it as it was.

I think it looks nicer with body coloured door handles - a bit more modern.
