I'm interested in this also. My Lotus mechanic (who has a Esprit V8 race car) says EBC are junk...and to go with Porterfields.

No emprical evidence, but I'd be curious to see what other people think.

Has anyone compared EBC compounds on the Esprit? I am interested in trying the the red vs the green? J

I have Porterfields w/ the PBC front brake kit that I got from Artie. They work fantastic, but I will heed his advice to get the Hawk Black pads. He really knows this stuff!

Artie, if your out there, help refresh my memory, where did you mention to get the Hawk Blacks?

Thanks, Lee

Does anyone have the part numbers for the hawk black pads used on the Toyota fronts/ inboard rear setup?

I found a Hawk supllier but they don't have a cross reference to the Esprit. Thanks Jan

If you set no goals you shall surely reach them..

OK.. update.. found Porterfield pads that may work.. will compare their available pad shape to the car tonight.

Their R4 and R4-S compounds are available (apparently) to fit the RR inboard/FR toyota setup

I have Porterfields on my 89 SE right now. I also use them on my Lincoln LS - which I autocross in Street Prepared E Class. I am on my 5th set in 44,000miles but like them a lot - no fade and no dust. I get a discount on the Lincoln pads through LLSOC.com and Esprit pads through Lotuscarclub.org
