Oh no, I started a YouTube account

Recommended Posts

The stars aligned this past weekend -- I went for a little gathering/drive with some sports car owners, had digital camera in hand (with video), and I discovered some cheap editing software on my laptop! I could not help it -- I put together my first YouTube video. Enjoy:

It's I-90 eastbound around Rocky River and Westlake. :)

When I was looking for a Lotus, I was also looking at adverts for Meraks (and a Urracco) that was for sale but I am glad I picked the Lotus. Parts availability and price would have been a nightmare with the Urracco and probably also with the Merak. Nice cars though.

Good job on the video. Haven't watched it with the sound on yet but the pictures are good.

Thanks for the kind words, fellas.

Trevor, funny thing is I too considered a Merak and an Uracco when I wound up buying my first S1. The Uracco was only $16k back then! Too rare, parts availability, being slow with no excuse, and the idiotic gauge placement ruined it for me. I almost bought a Merak -- love the style, reliable, timing CHAINS, civilized inside the cabin . . . let down by a choice of two ugly dashboards and steering wheels, timid seats, rust prone, weird hydraulic system, and overall complicatedness. I'm glad I picked the Esprit, too. Sometimes I really don't appreciate the Esprit's knockout interior and how simple and smart it is until I pay attention to other cars.

Clay -- lol! BTW, music is Brazilian jazz tune called Vamos Imanos -- I thought it sounded as 70s and porn star as a Merak! :D
