Part number query

Question

Having spent an interesting afternoon removing the instrument pod and dashboard I have discovered that the beam which goes across the car under the dashboard and bolts to each of the doors is very rusty. As I presume its providing strength to the doors the steering column and the car I am going to have to rplace or repair it somehow. I have gone through the parts manual and workshop manual but cant find a part number for it or even a name !

Can anyone shed any light on this for me

1977 S1

Cheers

Phil

Its called a Scuttle Cross Beam Phil.

The only pn I have here is E079U4196J (R/H drive) which is for an S3.

The "79" in the part number says it does all models back to S1
