Congrats on the car. Did you just pick it up from Jim C. in NJ?

If so, did he tell you that it was confirmed by Lotus to be the very first Turbo imported to the US?

And you are welcomed to come join us in LEO of NY/NJ if you promise not to refer to Jim as a DPO (Dreded Previous Owner).

HI - Yes i did get the car from JIM C...(great guy) i had been speaking to Atwell from LEO and he put me in touch with Jim who didn't have the advertised..i drove up to his place which was only 50 minutes away and took it for a ride..thats all it took..the car moves..Jim did alot of work on it which really made me comfortable about the car not to mention that he had a ton of documentation for service and engine rebuild..parts.. receipts..spec's etc.. Jim did tell me that he did confirm with Lotus that it was the first turbo imported to the states..i definately intend on joining LEO..both Jim and Atwell are aces..i'm sure the rest of the club is just as helpful and pleasant! I tried to post pics in the garage section but they were too big ;) There are pics of the car on the Lotus Enthusiast Owners site under the events heading.."coming out party" where Jim and some LEO members are pulling the engine out it and some pix at Watkins Glen etc.. The car is without a doubt the most fun to drive car i've ever owned..if i could i'd buy another one!
