6 speed gearbox

Recommended Posts

Does anyone make a 6 speed gearbox for the V8?

Has anyone retrofitted a 6 speed?

I guess if I did, I would have to change the axle? What else are weak links of power increases?

Thanks,

Scott

Try PUKs website, they do a 6 speed dog box that fits the Renault casings. I am tempted, but I have spoken to Quaife and they say the have a helical cut 6 speefd transaxle under development.

Sorry I cant help any more.

I am sure I had a quaife catalogue a couple of years back that listed a 6 speed sequential box for the V8.

Is that the one that is still under development?

ask "R&B" , there is also a 6speed box available (i think its the same box as Marcus- because relationship of both..) One customer ["Mr. Kai Uwe Abel"] should have it installed (but not with sequential shifting)

Ramspott&Brandt- Marcus is a friend of them and the equipment is the same in some parts. So ask Marcus, he can tell you all about those boxes... .

you could always get the gears superfinished. apparently it cuts down hugely on the noise, wear and overall losses in the box.

Not sure how much this will set you back though. :)
