Nope, your a sane man! But are there any cars there already? if not you may have to include shipping costs and get a slightly older SE (say 89?). On the positive if you buy here and ship back you can get our man Troy to do any work and service before you ship it! For a small fee he'll also give it an inspection prior to you buying it!

If you hold on long enough there are some cracking motors out there at the right price.

Congrats on catching the Bug, you won't be sorry.

I'd actually recommend you get a N/A car. No turbo will mean easier and cheaper maintenance, and my recollection of the Cyprus road system is that you wouldn't get much opportunity to use the extra power of an SE.

Welcome!

Mat

Welcome!

as a first time prospective owner i have read that maintenance on an N/A is easier and cheaper but coz i'm not mechanically minded my concern is find the right mechanic/garage.

i'm assuming parts are relatively easy to find and quite quick to ship ?

Thnx

Parts are ok on the Stevens, better than the G car definately. So saying that Lotus are pretty adamant that they have good stocks of parts. They can be sent over no problems.

In regards to a mechanic, my recommendation is to find an "old fashioned" mechanic , one who can repair and diagnose without having to refer to a computer.
