Yay! Got another Esprit

Just won the Monogram 1:24 Esprit Sport 300 on e-Bay. Not an SE but close enough. From Illinois dealer, it only cost me as much as the shipping cost to Norway.

I've had two gave one to the big man when he was asking about models havent heard if he ever made it or not and I have since brought myself another which I may get round to making at some point.

No patience? Ah, heard that one before! Pretty interesting subject really.

As an avid model bulder I keep getting this remark "wow, you must be extremely patient!!!" when people see my work.

Now these people who exclaim that, are the same people who can sit through a full, televised golf tournament without loosing enthusiasm. They willingly spend one week hiding in perfect silence in a mountain shrub waiting to shoot a moose that never shows up anyway. These are people who can sit an entire evening in front of their computer blasting digital monsters!

Being the certified Most Impatient Person in the World, I myself wonder where this model-building patience comes from, concluding that its not patience but interest. You do what you want to do, if you don't want to do it you don't do it. Or whatever.

Like, one day I can spend 2 hours meticulously replacing a washer somewhere on the car, doing everything right and enjoying every second of it. The next day I can swear and kick because the gasoline pump pumps too slowly or throw the spanner on the floor because I keep losing the same washer between the seats.

I have learned that without sufficient inspiration, never start on anything that is supposed to be fun!
