The first LEF USA meet will be the Motors4Toys event on the 2nd December in Westlake Village. I'm waiting for more details but please let us know if you can come along and meet with your fellow Esprit owners by posting below.

I've had an email from Sean of the OC Lotus Club (Paul, sorry I didn't realise you were one of the team on there when I sent it!) and you'll be hooking up with them on the drive down. Paul, do you have all the details of the meeting place etc?

Plans are still in the works - but right now it looks like the first meeting point will be Newport/Costa Mesa/Irvine area then upto Brea, onto Pasadena then Westlake Village. If anyone wants to meet along the way let me know and we'll work it into the schedule. Or if you're coming from the other direction meet us at the location - 1303 Agoura Rd Westlake Village, CA 91361. Please bring an unwrapped kids toy, and my wife asked everyone to remember there are also little girls who needs Christmas presents so don't just bring boy stuff!

Not quite as good an Esprit turnout as last year.... but we did represent. 4 v8's and 2 S4s'. Did anyone know if they accomplished the world record for most Ferrari's at one event? There seemed like there was at least 50....

I thought the funniest moment at the event was when the black Enzo arrived....these kids were chasing after it like the guy was the Pied Piper or something...and then the guy who got out was all skinny and looked like David Caradine.

Another was the one red Lambo Countach that had a huge red button just to the left of the steering wheel marked "Fire" ...guess the guy had a fire suppression system of sort...but it sure looked wired up all ghetto.

Paul - saw your car but never got a chance to see you!

Talked to Sean for a little while, and met the owner of the black V8, but by the time we walked the whole show and dropped off our toy, it looked like everyone was off looking at cars....

Was the owner of the 240Z with the 350Z drivetrain also a Lotus owner? There was some amazing work done to that car....especially the interior integration of the 350Z bits. I especially thought the paddle shifters were cool. A LOT of time into that car.

The silver / black Esprit V8 was nice too. Is there a reason for the mismatched wheels (ie brake clearance issues)?

Not a fan of plain white Esprits, but the Pearl White on your car sure looked nice.

It was a good event, but very Ferrari centric, almost to the detriment of everyone else attending. British Cars got just one line of spaces, and some Mini guys tried to save spots for their friends which caused a bit of an issue with some late arriving Lotus owners! An Elan owner pointed out their cars where more German than English, and he was going to park in the empty space if they like it or not, and in the end the other Mini's didn't show up anyway. Most of the Elise/Exige folks where sent to another parking lot which sucked for them, but overall it was an interesting collection of cars to look at.
