I'm not actually "here" (in the area), but I am looking for a mechanic to look at 1987 Turbo Esprit near Louisville Kentucky.

Any suggestions?

David Hume is a Citroen/Maserati specialist near Lexington, which is about an hour away. I don't know how many Esprits he's seen, but he is excellent with Meraks and such. I think if he were armed with an inspection checklist from LEW, he would do a better job than anyone else in the area.

The name of the shop is Excelsior Motors. If nothing else, maybe he could recommend someone to you.

I'm lonely out here in KCMO, anyone going to LOG 2008 in Indy? I'm planning on making it this year! Been to Indy several times for Rotary events(RX7)!

I plan on going to LOG28! A few fellow Esprit owners I know from Atlanta are going. We were gonna try to caravan to the event, but haven't worked out the details...

I am here Tony. Also I ran into the guy who drives the black 99 V8 Esprit that I keep getting phantom sightings of. His name is Jeff. I guess he posts on here now and again. He lives down in P-burg close to me.

I am down there in Cinci area every now and then since my sister is down that way. I'll have to give you a shout if I drive down that way.

No actually I think there is a 88~93ish floating around the Toledo metro area too!! Only makes you wonder what else is lurking around here.

What color is the 88-93-ish? There's a guy in my neighborhood with a red 1990 SE, but he's afraid to drive it, so he only takes it out a couple of times per year.

That might be the one. Wasnt there some guy at the Britsh Car Show talking about owning one up in Slyvania or something?? Maybe its the same car. Afraid to drive it...geez. I am afraid to let mine sit.

Definitely give me a shout, Ray! I'm always interested in meeting fellow car enthusiasts. I've never seen another Esprit here in Cincy, although a few exist.

Tony, I gonna start a rumor your buying an Aston Martin....

Sylvania?! Outside Toledo? Middle of noplace? I've actually been through there a couple times. The girl I was dating when I bought my Lotus was from Assumption, right next door to Sylvania.

I plan on being at the Log in Indy..since it's only a 45 minute drive for me! Sadly, if I can't get my 84 Turbo Esprit running, then I will have to attend in a regular (gulp) car!

I've enjoyed reading things on the site for a few months and thought I should check-in. I'm from Richfield, OH--Akron-Cleveland area. I purchased my car in April of 2007, and it's a white 95 S4s. Can't wait till spring!

I grew up in Cleveland and spend a fair amount of time there still, as both my and my wife's parents live there and we visit regularly.

Hey Matt,

My parents emigrated from Croatia (father) and Hungary (mother), and met on the east side in the 1960s like so many of the European immigrants did. (The Hofbrau House if you know the city.) I grew up a block away from Wildwood State Park (Neff Rd., east side).

I'll be driving the blue S1 to Cleveland at the first opportunity when the roads are black instead of white! I know several people with mid-engine, exotic, sports, etc. kind of cars in the area, and we try to do a drive every now and then. My favorite is Chagrin River Rd. There must be some good twisty roads down in the valley between Cleveland and Akron . . .
