Hi All,

I've had something of a sabatical from the site due to having a [email protected] job in Belgium where I've been travelling to every week since Jan., but a new job is on the horizon (I leave in 4 weeks) so things are looking up!

As a result I've had time to dive back into working on my S1, so onto the brake master cylinder!

I was wondering if anyone can ID the OE master cylinder for the S1 and does anyone know if there is an updraded (slightly larger bore) version available?

Cheers,

Steven.

p.s. Had the car completely re-trimmed by a bespoke trimmer (in black leather and charcoal Alcantara, plus new carpets etc.) I'll try and sort some pictures and will load them up, I'm really pleased with the result but it wasn't cheap!

That has been something I have been meaning to do as my master cylinder is probably a bit too small now since going to Billet4 calipers all round.

Probably find something like a Land Rover/Range Rover unit may do the trick.

I'll try and have a bit of a hunt around tonight if I can find some spare time.

Hi Steven

I have heared that the OE master cylinder and booster come from a Mk II Ford Escort.

Perhaps someone else can confirm this.

There is bound to be a bigger replacement for an Escort.

Keep us informed

Cheers.......................xisab
