S4 Window Lift Motors

Recommended Posts

Dear Friends,

I am looking for the left side window lift motor, seems to be a "non original Lotus Part", maybe is an OEM motor used on other cars too, in fact on the motor itself there is a GM mark.

On the motor I have removed from my car is written :

BOSH FPG 12V 0 130 821 618

GM 90376827 (on the motor)

On black plastic :Brose 3135 105 713 and 186 134-000, on the side 05 0700 01 and 777-188210-000inal part number is A082U6255F

See attached picture , any help will be appreciated.

Nicola

IIRC, the earlier SE models cross referenced with the window motors for 87-90 Jaguar XJS Coupe but it needs to be an 8 tooth gear like yours and not 10. The motors are reversed for the Esprit, left is right and right is left. I'm not sure if the S4 motor is the same but it's worth a look. You could also try having the motor rebuilt by a local electrical shop.

Cheers,

After looking at the parts manuals, the 93 and later appear to be a different motor so the Jag cross reference probably won't work. Sorry

I can confirm the Jaguar XJ6 works for my Lotus SE, but only the 8-tooth version which is comparatively rare in Canadian auto wreckers. Maybe one in 10 Jags offer the 8-tooth window motor.

Though I cannot tell you the exact application and year of the depicted motor . . . . they look very much like a Porsche part. Particularly the material (glass-reinforced black ABS? body), the screws connecting it to the regulator, the electrical side connection, etc.

Try 944 or 928 (but this is speculative only).

I FOUND IT!

Opel Omega Caravan A 2.6l engine(9/90 - 3/1994) may be applicable to all 1986-1994 models

...unfortunately sucks for us on this side of the pond, Makes sense though as the Lotus Carlton was an Omega, right?

Also a Vauxhall Calibra also appears to have the same motor......

PAUL93... thanks a lot.

I am purchasing from them the motor.

Note that Lotus price is 230 Pound (340 euro) and from this website I do pay only 75 Euro + shipment (90/95 Euro).

Thanks a lot again!!
