Are the tabs secure? (the bits that slide into the pockets at the front of the apeture)

If not, that's likely to be the cause.

If they are, consider new seal (the old one may have worn and not put enough force on the roof), of the catches, I assume you've got the rubber stops as part of the catches, try adjusting those.

I find I get the same problem when the weather is cold. It goes away again when things warm up. In the meantime I smear some "Vaseline" (petroleum jelly) around the rubber seal. It stops the creaking for a while and is cheap!

I had this for a while. I replaced the seal (stopped some wind noise but not the creaking) then i tightened up the tabs and put new rubber washers on as the old ones were perished. I also greased the tabs a bit, as soon as this was done the creaking was gone.

My glass roof creaks awfully, and I've tried all sorts of fixes which seem to work for a while - then the creaks come back. Last time I stripped all the hardware off to make sure the rubber grommets and washers were OK, cleaned out the slots and filled them with clear sealant with a pice of plastic in the middle to create a slot, then when it had dried put lots of grease in the slots and reassembled. I also liberally applied silicon polish to the rubber sealing strip, and added a rubber shim to the stops by the (new) catches.

Improved things for a while, but not much, and there's quite a lot of wind noise from it when closed at over 70mph, so I think the next job is to replace all the door and roof seals.

Might try petroleum jelly first though...had thought that might be a bit sticky, but if it worked for Richard...

in high speeds its ok, yesterday i ve done it over 260 on free highway

looks i need to look at clooser on roof panel, what is realy there, never done it and never take it down yet

Mine's an 88, what seems to happen is the clamps distort with tension and heat over the years, and the pivots get slopy, I'm going to re do the pivots, bore to a larger size, and hopfully increase the tension when it's closed.

I agree, my GT3 only creakes when its cold, after about 15mins it all quietens down. I think it adds character, but then I am an old softy.
