Turbo oil feeds

I changed mine (along with the turbos) with the engine in situ. I actually changed both the coolant and oil feeds/returns.

I found that it was necessary to support the engine and swivel the engine mounts out of the way in order to replace the coolant returns - not a fun job, but certainly possible with patience and good lighting.

Cheers,

Mike S

Yes, but it's not an easy job. Apart from accessibily the nuts are usually seized rock solid.

My garage did mine a few years back and there was literally smoke coming off the engineer when I came to collect the car.

Ironically the turbos needed rebuilding shortly after so had to come off anyway!

May: DON'T hit it with a hammer!

Clarkson: Why?

May: Cause it's the tool of a pikey.

OK, thanks for that. Will have a closer examination of the pipes and fittings to see how urgent it is.

the nuts are usually seized rock solid.

Wouldnt surprise me in the slightest. Every job so far has been 75% unseizing and 25% replacing....
