x6gas 2 Posted September 9, 2005 Report Share Posted September 9, 2005 Well the oil temperature sender is located on the oil gallery which is under the chargecooler and pretty hard to find on your car - someone please correct me if I am wrong. I suppose once you find the sender, disconnect the bugger and put a meter across the connection- you should read something (resistance wise) to the gauge end. I'll try and test this out this weekend. s4simon 153 Posted September 10, 2005 Report Share Posted September 10, 2005 I get around 20 ohms across the sender connections (cold). Bugger to get to. Zip the other way cos it goes direct to the ECU. You'd have to find the wiring leading back from the gauge - quite tricky. Or simply remove the binnacle - which isn't as hard as you may imagine.
