Problem with shifting

Recommended Posts

I ve solved R gear problem(3 weaks all ok), but few days back

pulled down the gear stick head, i simply scewed on, but not sure if good, from

this moment looks too much space in front of gear one (when i moving with

gear stick), and when i ve shifted 2 or 4 gear and pull much gas (higher

speeds) they jump out to neutral (if i hold stick by hand gear still there)but gear stick still shifted, other problem and cant shift 4 after 3, but from 5 to 4

its ok:( Shifting goes good, no pulling necessary etc.

any idea?

It could be the allignment of the translator mechanism at the back of the car. There are some ball joints on the end of the cables that may not be adjusted properly.

Try the gearshift improvement article on LEW - it includes the diagrams from the manual showing the correct adjustment of the translator mechanism.
