Cam Pulleys which way round?

Engine rebuild going well after a few stop starts but romping along now..... Until I went to refit the cam pulleys as I havent recorded which way round they go. There is a dimple on one face of the pulleys but I dont know if that faces the engine or away?

Can anyone have a look at theirs and let me know

Upgrade today to remove Google ads and support TLF.

One way is for U.S. spec cam timing, and the other way is for UK/RoW spec cam timing. One way has more overlap and gives you a little more low-end torque (US); the other way has ultimately more hp albeit at a higher rpm, but less torque (UK/RoW). I forget what happens when you put one one way and the other the other way. I always get it confused with this, and I resort to Tim Engle, the master of all things 907.

The factory service manual states which way they go, but it's still confusing (I'd look it up but I'm not home)
