talon
Can anybody tell me if there is an aftermarket set of plug wires available for the V8, or do I need to go OEM? How big a job is changing the plugs and wires? Edited April 11, 2008 by talon

neal
Steve at SJ do a Magnecor set,to fit them you will have to remove the plenum regards dave It can be done without removing the plenum, just undo all the plenum bolts and lever the front of if up as far as possible. But it will involve a lot of swearing and scuffed knuckles fitting them to the coils. Also be very careful not to upset the plenum-cylinder head gaskets. And be sure to refit the fuel regulator pressure line to the plenum since you'll almost certainly pull it out. Quote May: DON'T hit it with a hammer! Clarkson: Why? May: Cause it's the tool of a pikey.
act2007
The Nology Plug Wires from JAE is the best plug wires for the V8...according to many mechanics including Harry & Viking. I just got the Nology installed in mine by Viking & I can feel a difference right away on the throttle response. At less than $200, I think it's a good upgrade. I believe the plenum has to come off though. Alan
Gold FFM Günter Posted April 12, 2008 Gold FFM Report Share Posted April 12, 2008 "R&B" has some on the list, but i don't know if there is anything 'special' on them -could be Lotus original , or just regular aftermarket ones from the European market...
