USAndretti42
Well today was a great success. Even got the wife to come along and she found that, much to her suprise, the Esprit is a really comfortable car to travel in. Had 14 Lotus on display including Kjaak's Turbo and Talon's V8. There was another, immaculate V8 owned by Evans who restores Lotus for a living and the rest were Elises and Exiges all of which looked beautiful. There were a bunch of Triumphs, of course, seeing as the event is organized by the Triumph car club, MGs, Jaguars, TVRs, Morgans, Austin Healeys, Jensen Healeys, Midgets and Sprites and Black cab and a Land Rover. Didn't get involved in any wine tasting which was a shame as it was held at a vineyard but the setting was really nice. Will post pictures, suitably reduced to avoid resizing by the board software, tomorrow. USAndretti42
Here are my pictures from yesterday. The Lotus had their own section. But we weren't too cut off from the crowd. Even got the wife to come along and I was lucky enough to park by the other Lotus despite not displaying my car. Talon and Kjaak were there Of course, there were other cars there as well. Jaguars Healeys TVRs And, amongst the MGBs and Spridgets, an MG Magnette Great day out, thanks to Talon. talon
That would be kjakks car. While he may wish it was a true X180R, it is easily the best kept Esprit of that vintage I've seen around here. As much as I'm trying to bring my car back up to snuff, his already looks incredible and makes the rest of realize how far we have to go. *edit* I should point out that, in the 4th from last pic, the gentleman approaching the sexy beast wielding the duster is kjakk. Look carefully at the pics above and you will also notice USandretti and his lovely JPS After he won second in the event, we all decided we needed fancy signs as well!
