Well, i was bouncing along a rural lane local to me yesterday. The cars stiff suspension making it

skip over the road like a pebble on a rough sea. I personally find this the ideal way to eliminate

any rattles, albeit causing a few new ones...


Obviously the mirror is not that robust as it decided the pounding was enough and let go:



Have searched and found this to be one of 'the' ways they can break on us.


Two questions guys.

1, Anyone recently got the frame only from anywhere? Or am i down to the scrapyards with

an allen key and some hope? I can get a whole assembly for

What about the wrecked GT3 on ebay:

The plastic housing might be damaged but since I since I presume you're only intererested in the internals and are going to swap the housing anyway, that would make it even cheaper...

Ok, it's been said i'm as tight as a ducks arse, but this repaired my broken

mirror frame for about the cost of a pint of beer. If anything it's tougher than

the original as it misses out the sacrificial part of the casting thats designed

to break off.

Just a little bit cheaper than forking out
