By the way mine was also mislisted in Parts. It keeps other bidders away!!!!

Yes I think it was me who posted about it? I seem to remember it was pulled off the auction but you'd noted down his telephone number.

Don't think it's dodgy. I'm sure I have seen it on a site for promotional cars for Film and TV work. (I used to work in TV)

Think this is it? http://www.starcarhire.co.uk/carsforsale1.htm

I went to look at this car about six or seven months ago.

The restoration work is very superficial, and whilst the paintwork and the body isn't too bad, the interior is pretty poor.

The car really needs to be completely restored.

I thought it was a four grand car, but what would I know?

Cheers,

Pat.

I put a bid on, but I don't think its enough to meet the reserve. I'd be very surprised if the reserve is met, even if I get out bid. 12k is in budget for a good one I can drive and white is perfect, it's a shame it's not closer to home so I could have a proper look at it and possibly bid/offer more. smile.gif

I know the reserve of the car and its not worth it. There was a yellow S1 on piston heads not so long back that went for just 3k and its WAS MINT..

I see im not the only person in berkshire!

Hmmm... now it's with a dealer though. I presume he bought it via eBay when it didn't meet the reserve?

it is the same car.....certain of it as i have been following its progress etc.

for 10k you should be able to get a minter! and prob dont even have to spend that much!

certainly not 15 anyway....just depends on how patient you can be and who decides to sell i guess!

good luck with your hunt!
