ECU in my 2.2

Recommended Posts

I haven't really thought about this before, but can anybody think of what difference the chips may make.

My 2.2 Turbo has an ECU box that is marked as bieng for a 2l car.

The memcal unit contains a chip (original to an Esprit I guess) marked DELCO ANJL 8768 then has 1N8102 in red dot type markings the other end.

Is this the right chip for a 2.2l?

If it's wrong, what could be the impact (specifically, does it alter the fuel delivery amounts, timing, turbo boost limits etc)?

Hi Andy,

Dont worry about the ECU itself. The ECU box is always the very same. What is different is the Mem-Cal chip. I cannot tell if the ANJL is the correct one for a 2.2 L engine, because I have never come across these 4 figures.

If you like, you may just send the Mem-Cal to me and I can read it out and then I can tell you for sure what program you have in there new.

Of course a 2,0 litre code will run with a 2,2 litre engine, but not 100% right ... you should defintely have that checked out !
