Do you have access to a Parts Manual for your car? If so are these the part no you need?

Headlights-A079M6055F

Headlights -A079M6056F

If so good news, they're available brand new at a vastly reduced price in the current Factory Sale. You'll need to find a UK member who can send them for you, but check out those numbers first and we can discuss again if they're the right parts.

Regards

Mat

The Elise S1 lights should be the same:

http://www.elise-shop.com/index.php?main_p...39b1891d67825ab

Thats what I fitted in mine. The shop owner also knows the Esprit and can confirm if OK for your car.

I did a thread about fitting them a few months ago:

Those are the dip/main headlights for LHD.

I think the other pair are main only and probably the same for UK and EU cars.

Hi,

I'm looking for the same parts for the Italian market so i think the same as for the Germany.

We need the 5 3/4 unit , non sealed beam unit (halogen bulb).

The choice is between four lamps with Dip and Main or Outer lamps Dip and inner main as the original fitment.

SJ sportscars are selling these units (all four lamps are the same) but I have found many source in UK and I'm now looking for the better price, take a look at these pages:

http://www.cars-gb.com/cibieclassic.htm

http://www.classic-car-accessories.co.uk/a.../Headlamps.html (ask for LHD version)

http://store.classicgarage.com/53hehekit.html (ask for European LHD version) (the cheaper price)

http://www.sjsportscars.co.uk/partsandacce...mp;Type2_ID=154

If you are not in hurry, take a look at this auction: http://cgi.ebay.it/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewIt...A:IT&ih=024

I have already wrote to the seller and he said me that the LHD version of this kit will be available within four weeks as they are in order from the manufacturer, anyway the Elise solution it's really interesting due to very good availability of spares for the LHD version.

Last thing, take infos regarding the E marked lenses, they are not for the LHD market but for the RHD market as you seen on the second page of my list.

I think that E marked lenses are for the UK market that IS also in EUROPE....... :2guns:

Hope this helps, and let me know regarding your buy...I need the same!!!

Cheers

i would say you need the LHD for the function called "Abblendlicht" in German. As this has the angle in the glass for those unsymmetrical (horizontal) beam on the road. The metal part in ordinary (classical) H4 headlight bulbs is only for the direction of the beam from up to down(vertical) (so that the beam is only in front of the car , not straight forward).

If you need 'Abblendlicht' (the one for town traffic) than it should be the front light called "low beam" in the owners/drivers handbook. And if you need the "Fernlicht" (for example on open empty roads) , than it should be the 'high beam' [or main beam ?!]

in my point of view that function should be equal in GB. So try that one from those who offer it ...

http://www.kfz-tech.de/Bilder/Kfz-Technik/...Fernlicht01.gif

the opposite( low beam/dipped beam): http://www.kfz-tech.de/Programme/GBild.htm...lendlicht02.gif

http://www.kfz-tech.de/Programme/GBild.htm...lendlicht04.gif

http://www.kfz-tech.de/Programme/GBild.htm...mmetrisch02.gif

(to be more precise: if the car uses 4 headlight, than the dipped beam has the modern type bulb -but the reflector/ headlight is tilted in an angle, so that the beam is more lowered to the road surface. There is no metal cap to cover the down side of the bulb...)

i read in a swiss elise forum that the LHD version has the valeo number 067690, not 067689 - i will ask the guys from the dutch webshop about that.

now i only need a source for the high beam: valeo 450238
