You just don't see them like this every day:

Check the mileage, and read the seller's reply to the question -- WOW!

I hope the new owner isn't afraid of putting miles on it!

Wow, that's a rare thing, an old Lotus with honest mileage. I'm fed up of looking in the back of Octane magazine seeing 40 year old cars with 35k on the clock. What a load of bull crap.

Not so fast, Mark! My 1974 Europa has only 28,782 miles on the clock. I should know, as I'm the original owner. It DOES [rarely] happen!

Cheers,

John

Well your's is as rare as rocking horse $hit. But most DB5's, Dino's and 280SL Pagoda's are all desirable cars and the majority will have been driven like any other car. So to read they have low mileage and some service history gets very boring after a while. Previous Owners / Dealers / garages , who have spent a fortune restoring them, know you can't sell a car with high mileage, so they get clocked.

I completely understand your feelings on this, Mark. There will always be dishonest "peddlers" out there trying to hoodwink a gullible buyer. In a perfect world all odometers would be sealed with "superglue".

Regards,

John
