Coating inside of coolant tank

Recommended Posts

I am refurbishing my coolant tanks (main + chargecooler) on my SE. I'd like to coat the inside of the tank ro prevent any further rusting. I consulted with coating specialists and was told POR-15 can't be used because it will eventually flake off because it's ureathane based. This particular chemist recommended not coating it.

Any ideas what I can use to coat the inside of these coolant tanks? Fuel tank sealer can't be used because many of them do no like water(!).

Thanks,

Chandra
