I am suggesting a pre-festival meeting point as once inside St Andrews Hall you stand NO CHANCE! I would suggest the Ribs of Beef on magdalen street - its not too close to St Andrews as to be rammed and its close enough to be easy striking distance!

So to summerise

RIBS OF BEEF at 7.30 pm!

See you there!

Fine.

I just happen to have gone through nearly one dozen ant-acid tablets during the night and early morning.

No pain killers.

If I had finished the last half pint (no 1 Barley wine) I think the outcome may have differed slightly, but not as much as if I went onto the ale that was 13.5% ABV.

I have been fine! No headache, just a touch of the squats! Worth it though - i thoroughly enjoyed myself! Shame more didn't turn up but the company i did have was very agreeable!

I hear today that there isn't going to be a beer festival next year! Something to do with renovations at St Andrews! Definately make it an event for the year after though eh!

For many other people I would have said "you're a light weight" but that simply wouldn't be true for you..........

Not unless you diet.

Fair enough that two heavy drinking nights and one of controlled appreciation of fine ales between them might not be a good idea.

G'day all

All you Lotus Lads having a social time as well .........

Where were you all when i lived in Norwich (Sprowston)

I had to drink with Not Lotus lovers ....

The place gets GRID LOCKED IN 10 MINUTES LOL LOL :w00t:

A few more places on Magdalen/Srowston rd ..

Then straight up to Constitional Hill .. to the Constitution tavern for happy hour (5-8/30pm)....:lol:

by- pass Brickmakers ... a tipple in Duke of Norfolk ... then up a bit and home for tea ......ahhh :no:w00t:

At the beer Festival... dont for get the Cider bar ... with Irish Annie .. :)

All being well we should be around next year, so definitely give us a look, I'm sure if it's not conducive to attending an AEG meet we could always arrange another night out (just don't ask me to arrange it, remembering dates and times is a black art that I've not yet mastered).

My brother lives in Sprowston, not far from the sparowhawk school if you know the area.

I just looked back at your posts, one from late 07 indicated you were in Norwich, which would have been about the time we first met up as AEG, but a few of us were around and had Esprits before then (I purchased the TE in April 2006 IIRC), and had the S3 for a year or two before that. So how did we not manage to know you were about here? Ah well, I have an excuse, just see any of the posts about my cars beings potted, you'll see there's a trend of me being completely oblivious to the existence of other Esprits on the roads near me.

Gday Andy

I had my S3 in Sprowston from abt March 2002 to about April 2004 ...when Gcar went on a long cruise ...to OZ.

I use to live on Mousehold Lane ... abt midway between the Duke of Norfolk pub and the ESSO petrol station though on the other side.

Yes i also use to drink at the BEEHIVE pub in Sprowston .. mainly on Monday nites.

Yes i know that primary school...use to walk past it ....(i use to walk a lot also )

Iain, alex,

It always lifts my spirits when i hear people love Norfolk. I think that county gets a bad rap! Personally i think Norfolk is a little oasis where people are generally still decent to one another and crime is just something that happens in other counties! Don't listen to Kimbers and his 'there is an assult ever 3.5minutes on a saturday night!' I am sure that is not correct. I am regualarly out amongst the clubbers and pubbers and yes there can be a little drunken tension (no more than anywhere else in the country when people have had a skinfull) but not an assault every 3.5 minutes. If this figure is correct i am sure it includes domestic violence - and she had it coming! (just kidding)

If either of you guys find yourself back this way give us a shout - i am sure we would be able to get a kitchen pass out on the town! We showed Trevor a good time when he came over from New York and he is now an honourary member of the AEG!
