Inside boot sail panels with carpets attached

Recommended Posts

When I got my S1 the PO gave ne a number of "spare" parts which he never used.

Yesterday I took a good look at these two things that look like the side panels inside the boot. Each has a carpeted area like the one inside the quarter window and then extends back to a fiberglass piece that looks like the inside of the boot sail panels. Each one (right and left) are about 3 foot long end to end.

On the S1, the carpeted area is a removable piece (over the battery) and the inside sail panel is part of the glass boot surround.

On an S2, I saw a piece similar to the ones I have but the S2 units have ventilation openings (grills) in them for air circulation and the spares I have don';t have any grills.

I'd be glad to give them to someone if they needed them (I don't) but I'lll be damned as to what car they are from.

Anybody have a clue...or need them.....

I'l try to take a photo tonight and post it.

Hi Dom,

I would be interested, as mine are disintegrating due to some water ingress to the boot. Which colour is the carpet then? Dark greyish?

mine are in good condition, but the screw holes have been stretched to fit by previous owners. depending on where you are i'd like a mint set. with my luck you're transatlantic though.

Guys

Got home late so I am crashing rather than take the shots.

If my memory serves me the carpet segments are black or maybe a dirty gray.

As for location, In am just north of good old New York city in the US.

So I take it from the interest they are S3 components.

Teigan, they are definitely Not mint. I'll take detailed photos and let you guys be the judge. Pay the post and they are yours.

well new york isn't far. i used to live in that state. if the carpets are tatters, i don't care, but i did want clean mounting holes. if that aint the case, then someone else with a more dire need of the parts should take them. i'm not one to hoard charity items. thanks dom.
