The top link on the rear, there is no offset is there? doesn't matter which side which end, which way up does it?

I think it's just an optical illusion in my reading glasses, I measured it and it all looks the same and I'm sure it is, it just doesn't look like it.

Yep, you're right for the GT3, and probably others.

Roger was referring to an 88 which may or may not have adjustable top links, but the post 93 cars (from memory) have adjustable top links, one end of each is left hand thread the other end of each has a right hand thread, but each complete top link should be able to be used either way (on the chassis or on the hub carrier) as long as they are kept as a pair.

Both sides have the same part number, and when I pulled mine apart I couldn't see any difference irrespective of which way I turned them
