You mean you can turn it up manually with the knob and it will go down by the motor?

It is very likely that one of the copper contacts inside is bent or corroded. Worth to take the motor out and look inside.

Mechanism is quite straightforward. Mostly, the contact can be cleaned and bend back in position.

If it went south, you can use a motor from a TR7 from the scrapyard as replacement.

I already disassembled it once, after the same problem. Cleaned the contacts and then it worked again.- not long enough :-(

I'll disassemble it again an see what can be done.

Christophe,

it's a very straightforward job. Disassemble the lifter motor anch check the copper contacts inside. You will quickly realize how the mechanism works. You need to clean the corroded contacts and probably have to bend them back into shape.

Christophe

Jimmy is right, open it , it's quite straightforward.

I had to bend my contacts slightly too, works until now.

Just one safety warning , disconnect the battery while working on it or watch out. Otherwise it could happen that the motor squeezes your fingers during reinstalltion. Also watch out when you turn it manually.

Good luck !

Marc
