Removing the tin foil from engine surround + cover

After spending ages messing about with a scraper, thought I'd try one of those nylon abrasive brushes in the drill.

Works really well and not only gets the foil off but also the contact adhesive and the large lumps of silicone. If you are careful the fibre glass doesn't get damaged either.

No more bacofoil.. never liked it plus the original was black and I think looks better for longer. Also dubious about the heat reflecting benefits. Point taken Bibs.
