Tatton Park Show 16/17 August Confirmed

I git there around 5pm to drop off flag and artwork but no one there! Dropped them off with Comer van pitched on opposite corner B1 I think? Guy's names is Berny.

Don't follow the signs if coming off M6 as they will lead you all the way to M56 and back again (well alomst). Follow your sat navs if you have them. WA16 6QN is the post code. Foolishly for me I switch my sat nav off 3 miles away when I saw the signs and did a 10 mile detour!

See you on Sunday!

It's pissed down by me for past 6 hours sometimes really heavy. What's it's like around tatton Park? I live about 40-50 miles away.

Iam not the one for shying away from a little rain but I have been having problems with cracked fuel filler grommets and I don't want anymore water getting down into my tank. If it continues to rain by morning then I'll have to give it a miss.

I will text Graham in the morning.

Well it was a great day out at tatton even if the weather could not make its mind up on if it was going to be suuny or rain so it kept swapping the whole day. Great to meet Graham and his lovely wife, a well organised and impressive gazzebo set up complete with catering , floor covering and flags. Nice to meet and chat with all the rest NMEG squadron and NWEG gang, i think we had 10 esprits on show spanning 30 years worth of motoring so we looked pretty impressive. Hopo (john) even took home a trophy too!

Just a quick snap shot as the others will have plenty of photos to upload

Big thank you to Graham C and Lou for their North Western hospitality.

A great time was had by all. Wet roads spoilt the journey to Tatton Park but once we were there we all just got on with enjoying our day out.

Thanks to NWEG for letting us play. Hopefully we can do it again soon.

Cheers,

Graham

NWEG have certainly raised the bar:

1. On site catering par excellence

2. Trophy winning

3. Comfortable accommodation (Gazebo with floor, windows and seating!

It even inspired the NMEG guys to do something they don't normally do and that was clean their cars!!!! (although Dodgy did come prepared with his 5 litre pressure spray filled with Meguire's detailing liquid)

As an aside Alex was heard to say that Meguire's detailing liquid makes a good lube - we didn't dare ask how he knew

Many thanks to Graham, Nick and Lou for the hospitality - thoroughly enjoyed the day

Sorry we missed you guys, Gina and I ended up going to Shelsley instead, had a great day meeting Murray Walker and watching the Spitfire display at lunchtime. The Orange lady is now at Matteys for her cosmetic surgery, so she should be looking on top form for the factory visit.
