I love cheesy videos! (Especially when they include a 450 hp Lotus!)

Here's a car chase scene that my son shot. I produced the audio, including the music - and the recording of the car sounds. We would have used the Lotus, but it wasn't running at the time. Had to make due with a Passat and terrorists in a minivan. Hey, cheesy is good!

* The car chase webisode (#3 of 6): http://colonelcrush.com/movie/index/00030301

* The trailer: http://colonelcrush.com/movie/index/00030001

* Webisode #1 (to watch it from the start): http://colonelcrush.com/movie/index/00030101

The film is "Colonel Crush 3: The Sword in the Stone OF ACTION!" Colonel Crush is a cross between James Bond and Rambo. Mostly Rambo...

Enjoy!

No Lotus comment - but if you like cheesy, you'll love this from a couple of weeks ago:

Apologies to Kylie for the thread hijack - it just felt like an AA meeting where we all admitted we were addicted to cars and cameras...

Track day footage! Now we're talking!

Nice to see you blow by the 968.

It is amazing though, how slow road cars look on the track after watching the weekend F1 race. And I know that's not the experience at all when in the driver's seat. My first track day was in a 100hp BMW 2002, and it was a total rush to hit 100 mph on the back straight at Willow and push those 205/60-13 NCTs to their limits. Yet, I would have looked like a big pylon to your 350!

My track days are done though. In 1996 I ran my Esprit at Portland International Raceway and blew the motor. Apparently, the car was running lean, and when I had the car filled at lunch, the bozo put in a half tank of Regular. (In Oregon it's illegal to pump your own gas.)

Sorry, no video to post with my Esprit running on the track - or being towed home with the back window covered in oil. The pressure through the damaged pistons blew the dipstick right out and emptied most of the crankcase.

I take it you have a suction cup mount for your camera? The perfect accessory for track day!

Thanks guys, speed on this track from the drivers point of view appears quite slow because of such a wide track but down the back straight without even pushing it hard through the gears I was happily doing 260kph or 160mph before hitting the anchors near the hair pin. On the front straight when I slipped past the 968 I was doing over 220kph easily before the sweeping bend. Theres so much power on tap its crazy and got to be sooooo dam careful. But its awesome fun. Or should I say the most fun you can have with your pants on :unworthy:
