maximum boost limits aside, which esprit chip has the most refined code for all around drivability? If given an arbitrary limit of say 1 bar of boost, would I get the best performance out of something like a #2 or #3 chip or a #5 or #6 chip?

Hi,

IMHO the best base code is the improved S4s-code. All chips #2 and upwards use it as base code
