tim_marra 469
Saw one today on the A595 just north of Cockermouth. Looked great in Gulf colours but I bet he wished he was driving my Evora . It was a nice replica and had a modern reg number too.

Must be better than the thing I drove. It’s a very masculine car to drive, there’s weight to the controls in equal measure. Walks a thin line between road at race car that’s for sure. PaulCP 674
There’s just something so right about how the GT40 looks. Always been one of my favourite cars & the only Ferrari imo than can shine a torch near it is a Dino. Ive often looked at the Tornado replica but the closest I’ve ever got to owning one is a Scalextric model I had in my youth. Good lunch with the bid

Gold FFM tomcattom 211 Posted September 23, 2020 Gold FFM Report Share Posted September 23, 2020 Going with resin bonded gravel actually.
Gold FFM C8RKH 6,228 Posted September 23, 2020 Gold FFM Report Share Posted September 23, 2020 Have you thought about Resin Bound instead as that is permeable, whereas Resin Bonded is not so. PaulCP 674
^^^^^^^What he said^^^^^^^^ (he’s talking sense for once) Had ours done in resin bound early summer. It is also said to be more durable than resin bonded since all the little stones are held together with the resin rather than just stuck on top of it.

My wife has that nasty habit... TBH Andy I can’t answer that.....................yet! I have made it very, very clear to my Wife, Daughters and Son-in-Laws to make sure that they adopt driving best practice when turning on the driveway and ensure that their cars are moving when turning the steering. So far they have complied (although I do tend to stand on the drive watching them whenever I can) The previous surface was loose gravel so they did develop a bad practice over the years It is the one thing that the installers told me could eventually cause a ripple on the surface, although probably only if repeated continuously on the same spot.
Gold FFM Colin P 641 Posted September 24, 2020 Gold FFM Report Share Posted September 24, 2020 You won't believe me, so I will start by saying that this did actually happen. Took Mrs Ps JCW in for rear pads and discs (MINI rear pads tend to need doing every time you have to fill the fuel tank). Main Dealer. I know one pad was down to the metal (just - she stopped driving it immediately we identified this) and there was lip on he discs such that I was sure a MD would say is too big. They actually called me to recommend that the discs could be cleaned up and were fine. Crikey! Quote A Lotus is for driving, pork is for breakfast.
