Gold FFM Popular Post C8RKH Posted March 15, 2021 Gold FFM Popular Post Report Share Posted March 15, 2021 Taxed the Evora yesterday (it was Sorn'd). Then insured it. Then went out for a 2 hour drive to nowhere really (socially distanced and no stops for anything, not even a pee!) First time it had moved in almost 6 months. Bloody fantastic. Started first time. Everything worked. Sounded like a thunderstorm. Went like lightening. Came back and helped my son do a nice afternoon tea, with cake stands etc, for his mother who remarked she was surprised I was only out for 2 hours as the weather was so nice. Tidied up after "afternoon tea", picked up my keys then pissed off for a 3 hour drive to nowhere on back roads that were basically empty. Absolute blast. A real blast. For me and the car. And she still never missed a beat. Spanked 85 litres fuel in 5 hours. So £96 on fuel. £475 on tax. £305 on insurance. So £881 for five hours of driving fun. £176 per hour of pure unadulterated fun! Cheaper than a decent hooker and a better ride too! My god I had missed that.......... (the car, too tight to pay for a hooker!) I do love these plastic cars. I really love these plastic cars. However, the last 45 minutes were after 1815. The temperature dropped to 5c and bloody hell, those Cup2's just really went off. It was remarkable what a difference the temperature drop made especially when braking whilst on a white line, the front was darting about. Cannot wait to get the CUP2's off and the MPPSSSPSSPPSSPSSP4's on to replace them. 8 Quote Alcohol. Sex. Tobacco. Drugs. Chocolate. Meh! NOTHING in this world is as addictive as an Evora +0. Kimbers
What's a pension? I must admit I am thinking of cashing 2 I have in and just keeping my Company Pension which they pay into as well as me. As far as I can see 2 Pensions of £20k and £27k aren't really growing by much and they are frozen and even when I retire they will only be worth £100 a month at most. I think I should do what my mate has done. Cash them in and invest in a small property to do up or buy that Holiday Apartment we have always wanted. Quote Possibly save your life. andydclements
A friend just moved his old company pension, the firm paid him a lot more than the current value of his pot. That leaves him free to move it to another pension and so reduce (overall) admin costs and hopefully get a better value when retirement finally arrives. Colin P
#Rubs final salary pension scheme documentation. Whilst years of service is no longer counting (we now have a separate defined contribution scheme) the final salary part is still linked to my salary. Move them to a collective retirement type of account and get them actively managed and growing. The fee's are low and you could grow them over the next 15 years or so... £47k now at a manageable 6% growth compounded could be a £115k pot in 15 years. 25% of that as tax free lump sum would give you £28.5k back in a lump sum - you're original investment! With no need for additional deposits but you could add more whenever you could. Quote Alcohol. Sex. Tobacco. Drugs. Chocolate. Meh! NOTHING in this world is as addictive as an Evora +0. tezzan
Just found these whilst idly browsing: and I think they look superb. I suggested these to the wife as a Birthday treat for me - she says I've got too much time on my hands. Maybe I'll suggest them to the kids, Fathers day coming up in June...
