Popular Post PaulCP
Today represents a milestone which we never thought we would see back in Nov 2016. It is 5 years to the day since I was diagnosed with incurable stage 4 lung cancer and 3 years, almost to the day, since I was informed that the cancer had spread to the brain, resulting in me having to surrender my driving licence for a 2 year period, subsequently reduced to 1 year. Unfortunately I was informed of the reduction to 1 year the week after I sold my beloved Evora, I just couldn’t face seeing it in the garage and not being able to drive it for 2 years. (Blasted DVLA!😠) The cancer is a very rare form, caused by a mutant gene, (I am a lifetime non smoker) and whilst incurable is treated by drugs which, having initially reduced the size of tumours, is now keeping the cancer stable and so far I am in the fortunate position of remaining reasonably symptom free. I have to give vast amounts of credit to the NHS and, in particular, the oncology team at Ipswich hospital for the impeccable support they have provided in arranging for quarterly scans, (which never changed during the height of the pandemic), gaining access to the drugs for how they have handled the situation over the past 5 years. As my GP keeps saying to me, “forget all the minor adverse stuff, at least you are still here” Long may it continue 🤞🙏 11

Popular Post PaulCP
Not quite that simple Alan, I could end up having to surrender my licence again at the next scan, or the one after and so on. I keep looking but don’t want to go through that situation again. I just live in the knowledge that I have owned one of the best cars ever produced. 2
2GOOD
I’d missed that you’d got your licence back so soon after selling the Evora Paul, but good news on the drugs doing such a good job 👍

Gold FFM Popular Post RobinB5 Posted November 12, 2021 Gold FFM Popular Post Report Share Posted November 12, 2021 Got to sit in our Simrod EV test/mule vehicle in Leuven this week: I work in a Siemens group focusing on test and simulation tools with a particular focus on automotive. Aero, structural, vibration, thermal, electronics, NVH, CFD, FEA etc. etc. the Simrod is used as a demonstrator for our tools. Had a demo of acoustic simulation+test where we isolated the sources between wheel, structural vibration, external aero turbulence etc. so that you could turn each of these off/on in an emulation to appreciate their individual contributions. Was really cool. I'm helping out in the thermal simulation of the inverter, last thing you want is for your power Mosfets to exceed their 150 degC maximum rated junction temperatures whilst caning it down the straight. The seat was as, if not more, tight as an Esprit's, but maybe I drank too much Belgium beer and was suffering hip expansion Used by most OEMs, check out these capabilities if you want:
Popular Post Kimbers
After much debate and a test drive and offer of just below my asking price............... I talked myself into keeping the Evora. During the test drive I was talking to the buyer (Who you will meet soon as he has since bought another) and doing my sales pitch about how wonderful this car was and how you can never find another like it...... and I talked myself into keeping it! So, it flew through the MOT with a light adjustment, had a full service, clean and polish and is now up on jacks covered in a nice secure lock up for winter. Roll on hot weather so I can get her out and play! 4 3 Quote Possibly save your life. Check out this website.http://everyman-campaign.org/ Distributor for 'Every Male' grooming products. march
Watched a Weasel take down a bloody great Rabbit in the field today - I was wondering why a Rabbit was running around randomly in the field until I saw a tiny angry bundle of fur bounding after it until it eventually grabbed the bunny by the throat and settled down for a snack. Honey Badgers have nothing on these guys. The Weasel must have been a quarter of the size of the Bunny - and the dogs are finding freshly dead bunnies everywhere - got to love these little guys. I have checked again and size wise it was a weasel but tail wise it could have been a stoat so who knows. Whatever it was it was doing us a big favour by reducing our rabbit population which is slowly demolishing our Devon hedge banks. I don't know if they work in groups but we are finding lots of dead bunnies at the moment and they don't look mixied.
DDubya
Marc, a friend of ours is a registered Dartmoor marksman, was out shooting the other day and shot a similar video. Stoats are renowned for attacking rabbits. Seems the first attack puts bunny into shock and then heads back for the kill. Great video whether a stoat or Weazle👍 1 Quote Out for a Blat or on the Allotment
