Bibs
I hope everyone had a lovely time at Christmas and didn't eat/drink too much! What presents did you get? I got some ace pressies. I'm a tea nutcase so got some lovely teas and associated brewing kit, some Moulton Brown stuff and an activity voucher. I also got a Scalextric which I'm looking forward to setting up and playing Quote 88 Esprit NA, 89 Esprit Turbo SE, Evora, Evora S, Evora IPS, Evora S IPS, Evora S IPS SR, Evora 400, Elise S1, Elise S1 111s, Evora GT410 Sport Evora NA For forum issues, please contact the Moderators. Iconic Ride
Well since you asked, your Immenseness, my younger son (the new driver in the family) got a Garmin GPS, as today's kids have no concept of what a traditional paper map is, and couldn't read one if a gun were put to their heads. No more "Google Map" step by step printouts for him! Actually it's quite a lot of fun to use (and I'm well aware that our family is probably last on the planet to procure one), and works like a charm. May be forced to get one for the Esprit for additional "cool factor." Mama gave the three (myself and the two boys) of us gift certificates for a series of mutually scheduled yoga lessons. Not sure what to make of that, but will give it a go---why not? She's a recent "convert" and loves it. She received, among other things, a very nice Versace creamer, for her coffee addiction use, and some overpriced (but really nicely scented) Guerlain perfume. But the funniest gift of all had to be the one I got from my mother in law. Seems our relatives up north like to "draw names" each year, and the envelope that I received in the mail from her had an enclosed note saying "I got your name." And nothing more. Nada, zilch, zero. A completely empty, other than the note, envelope. Now this can be approached/perceived in two different ways. Either the woman (bless her heart) is just getting old (aren't we all?), and just plain forgot to put, say, a check in with the note, or..........she's never forgiven me for stealing her daughter away from hearth and home. We prefer the first explanation, but can't help but wonder about the subliminal influences of the latter. Psychoanalytical musings aside, we had a great Christmas. Needless to say I've been in front of the TV and not getting much sleep since the 25th - "Fire up the Quattro" Quote Paddle Faster, I hear Banjos! rogerch
I had a simply wonderful Christmas gift, Mr Plod the policeman decided to spend Christmas morning with his family, leaving only speed cameras to uphold the law. I took a little drive, down the free way, observing the only 2 cameras, and then returned on the old Pacific Highway, (no cameras, no plod and very little traffic) I gave it some wellie, big wellie, saw some major boost, speedo on the right of the dial, we is talking big wellei, like what this car was made for, it was stable, predictable, tracked spot on, a really nice car to drive quickly and confidently, and unmolested by plod. So you can take your matching pen and pencil, or that shocking tie that you are never going to wear, and just wish you had gone for a drive. Bibs
She was asleep.
