gghc87
Can I suggest the following resturant. http://www.theregencyrestaurant.co.uk/index.htm http://www.theregencyrestaurant.co.uk/menu.htm Which is on the front opposite the old wrecked west pier. I have spoken to them and they have a table that will take 15/20 people which is currently free. There is an NCP underground car park next door to it and from here you can walk along the beach path to the main pier ( about 5/10 in walk). The food is good and well priced. Note the desert menu. Yum Let me know if its of any interest and numbers which I estimate to be 15/20 so I can book. Cliff Men marry women with the hope they will never change. Bibs
I'm hoping that we'll all be parking up on Madiera Drive right by the pier. Bibs
I've spoken with the council and there are no restrictions on parking, we can go where we like without hindrance There is pay'n'display on Kings Road by the West Pier but that's often busy but they think there will be plenty of spaces on Madeira Drive (home of the famous cake I hope!) 88 Esprit NA, 89 Esprit Turbo SE, Evora, Evora S, Evora IPS, Evora S IPS, Evora S IPS SR, Evora 400, Elise S1, Elise S1 111s, Evora GT410 Sport Evora NA For forum issues, please contact the Moderators. Katie
Are we definitely going to the Regency Restaurant? Or are others more tempted by good old fashioned fish and chips? Just because you can, does'nt mean you should.
tinywillyuk
Likely that me and my passenger will probably skip sit down food.. Madeira Drive is usually well parked up on a Sunday - is there any way we can get some blocked out spaces?
Laura
I think Cliff has kindly organised the Regency for us. They do offer a traditional fish & chips (which I'll be going for) just inside rather than sitting out on the cold seafront Watch this space for parking arragements, I think Bibs & Cliff are both working on a plan and a back up plans! gghc87
Katie, as Laura said the regency offers very good traditional Fish & Chips, at good prices over looking the sea front, which is the reason I recommended it (having personally eaten there on a number of occasions). I have booked a table for us all for 1pm, we are getting our own area but if you and Simon don't want to join in this part then no prob's I will let the Resturant know. If you want to change your mind's and want to eat a the resturant then let me know. Thanks Edited January 17, 2009 by gghc87 Cliff Men marry women with the hope they will never change. Katie
Thanks Cliff for booking the restaurant. Always good to go somewhere that has been tried and tested! I'll go with the flow if that's what everyone else is doing. I'm just nostalgic about eating fish and chips out of paper on the seafront. Although perhaps in the freezing cold there is less nostalgia to be had! Just because you can, does'nt mean you should.
