rogerch 63
Diagnosis? don't get me wrong it may well be done for, but what makes you think that, what is it doing, I'd flush with a light oil just a few miles , no load, just up and down through the gears a few times. Then refill with a recommended oil. I use Castrol. I mention this because on my Elan I thought I had a syncro problem which turned out to be just dirt/impurities on a cone which the flush fixed. So whilst it may be worn syncro, if there is a cheap fix without removing the gearbox. Quote Life is like a sewer, what you get out of it, depends on what you put into it. andydclements 787
Or via a local Renault dealer, it's a standard Renault part , they just need the gearbox number (UN-1 . 017 or whatever). That's the route I took when i had my gearbox overhauled, the specialist thought it was an expensive part when they gave me the price, but it was still approx
