The key dimension to keep in mind is tire diameter. The cars need a 24" diameter front tire and can accept 25.5-26" in the rear.

Your car came with 15" rims, but larger rims can be fitted, including different diameters front and rear so long as the foregoing ODs are respected. There is room to go wider if you're so inclined, 8" in the front and up to 10" in the rear without additional modifications.

With 17/7.5 to 17/8 fronts and 17/9.5 to 17/10 rear wheels fitted, 275-285/40 and 215-225/40 fronts are perfect. 235 fronts may work.. I am in the process of checking that at the moment.

Be careful with going too far with front-spacing and bigger tires on the front wheels or you may develop clearance problems, especially if the car is lowered. Also, with excess FS, you can wind up with too much scrub radius, which will give you heavy steering.
