Interesting - I'm looking for a V8 manual

What's better - book or CD?

Do they contain the same information?

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

CD usually has the same info, but it's a pain in the butt to use.

Everytime you plan to do some sort of service you have to print out the appropriate pages.

Plus, I enjoy browsing through service manuals; something that is much less convinient on CD for me.

I like the factory service notes on paper

Have manuals for other cars on CD, but it is a pain printing the pages off constantly. :)

Manual is normally open on the cars manual holder(otherwise known as the rear spoiler)

Maybe Im just a Luddite

I find a wander back to the PC to look at the manual (and a cup of tea),

provides the needed 'step back and reflect' time that i personally require.

If i had the hard manual, i would be stuck in the garage throwing tools

around in anger while kids gather outside expecting the A team to bust out.

Your not a REAL Lotus owner until your oily fingerprints are smeared over the manual - and the parts list - and the parts ads. in Club Lotus magazine - and a pile of beer bottles in the corner of the workshop.......

can't do that with a CD!

Hi Guys

Has anyone seen these for sale recently?

Prefferably for a little less money aswell, seems a little expensive for a CD manual.

Any idea on the quality of these CD manuals? Anyone bought one?

Need to get started on my car after Christmas and wouldnt mind a little direction every now and then!

I did not have any manual at all and needed something, so I obtained one for sale on eBay. My intent was to simply print it out (2-sided), punch holes in it, and bind it in a three-ring binder just to have something to work from.

If it is the same one I got, it is just bitmapped scans (some aren't all that great quality) and includes some of the supplemental Lotus-issued notes. The PDF was not searchable and was actually missing 2 pages, which the company re-scanned and sent me separately.

I don't' think I'd use it by just printing out a page here and there. I like having my oil-stained paper copy in the garage, but still have the comfort of just re-printing a page or two that the brake fluid ate through.
