I fitted the S4s chip to my car on Wednesday; it's quite quick now, I mean, like, really quick in a rapid way.

Popped over to see a pal yesterday and took him for a spin to illustrate the difference in the smoothness of the drive, better tickover and most of all, quicker torque delivery and more boost which lasts longer. To be fair, it's real quick, proper fast.

During the drive after much screaming he began to yawn uncontrollably and when we got back he as good as passed out, rolling eyes and all sorts. This type of yawning by all accounts happens to roller coaster passengers and is the precursor to passing out and he's said that he's had enough, no more performance car rides for him. Previously he's been a hardy passenger, or at least he was. I've not had anyone pass out before, have I broken him? <_<

Did have an ex girlfriend who unable to speak or get out of the car for about 20 minutes. Don't know if it was permanent that's probably why she is "EX". <_<

The yawning, rolling eyes, on the edge of passing out - reminds me of when I was younger and being treated to an Art gallery by a family member.

I used to think it was the end of the world, but now I realise just how much fun it must have been!

This book is guaranteed to NOT change your life…but it does mention a Lotus Esprit...

I'd say he needs more training. If Laura can sit there calmly doing knit one pearl one, then no problem!

Hey I do embroidery not knitting... anyone would think I'm some kind of old lady or something <_<

I think with me, other people's speed has never really bothered me. If I were to drive that fast I'd probably get out of the car with the shakes or something! Although maybe that's why I fall asleep in the car all the time when I'm not sewing.

I spoke to the guru at Lotus to ask if there was anything else needed to strengthen the engine before I popped this chip in but he was sure it will be just fine so yes, I'm very pleased with the performance.

It does go!

I'm voting for narcolepsy or G-LOC...

Lucky he wasn't :o

I'm such a bad passenger that I go narcoleptic as soon as the engine starts. If I'm not driving, might as well sleep, that's my motto!

Wish my cars were fast enough to stun passengers though - the best I've managed before was to drive fast enough in the MGB (with the top down) to blow my passenger's skirt up to an interesting position....... (by the way, it does have a V8 conversion and she wouldn't let go of the door handle!)

A mate of mine invited Liz and I to his wife's 50th. The only thing I had to bring was the car to take Kaylene for a run. So with lots of cameras going off and most of the party watching off we went. First time round the large block where they lived we got caught several times by other cars in front. So after that we go back to her house and Liz looks at me and says "Is that It?" So I backed out and we went again. This time, no cars. By the time we get back, Kaylene is laughing uncontrollably and can't get out of the car as she is shaking too much. So I cool everything down and then turn the car off and sit with her for another few minutes until she got her act together. It's a great feeling when you leave a passenger stunned. :):P

All we know is that when they stop making this, we will be properly, properly sad.Jeremy Clarkson on the Esprit.

I vividly remember being left stunned, by my first ride in an Esprit. It was an S4, May 23rd 2001!

Bibs have you any more bad-boy upgrades planned to add to your Esprit? My ears are still ringing from the back firing at the Pear Tree services last year, not to mention almost setting fire to my leg!!!

Just because you can, does'nt mean you should.
