Hippo
They left it out in the rain?!?! ...unless it's got a really bad leak! In all seriousness, is it bad for our little cars to be left out in the rain...what with just a grill over the engine bay... Kimbers
I don't think thats an issue too much mate, they all live outside after production and during shipping and many live outside permanently (like mine will...unless I get off my backside and clear the garage......a job for the end of summer methinks!) bingoking
Congratulations on the arrival of your new baby Lotus. Enjoy! I wanted an Exige S but Mrs Bingo told me I couldn't have one because "you can't take the roof off". She thinks a proper sports car has to be a convertible......what does she know. So I had to settle for an Elise SC. A bit less power than the Exige but boy what a car. I had it out today with the roof off and drove from Fife to Elgin and back (320miles) through Glenshee to Ballatar then Elgin before heading back over Daviot moor and down as much of the old A9 as possible. Fantastic car...fantastic roads.. and a fantastic day. beats sitting in the office. Oh by the way, great colour Solar yellow, just like my Elise. What stripes are you putting on your Exige? Paul C
I wanted an Exige S but Mrs Bingo told me I couldn't have one because "you can't take the roof off". Yes you can. It's only the people that buy into all the factory gumph of there being to much turbulence that think it's impossible. At the end of the day, it's the same space as the Elise so why not? In this instance, listening to the missus has needlessly limited your options. You can even do a soft top mod: There is always a way. Looks like I have missed out.....this time! Perhaps I should change the missus..she said she can't take her top off either!! Seriously though, I thought there might be a problem with not getting enough air by taking away the roof scoop. Is that not the case then or is that just more factory gumph and if so if something happened to the engine whilst driving without the hard roof on would that affect the warranty?
