Water pump hose

G'day,

The hose from the water pump to the inlet manifold needs replacing. Is there an easy way to get access to inlet manifold without having to take all the inlet tract out?

Yes, remove the engine and move to a suitable workplace.....

Look here at Dr. Hess' site he has a pretty good write-up about it. Don't need to remove the manifold but remove the plenum cover for better access.

Hi DP,

I did exactly as described in Dr Hess' write-up.

It is a swine, and caused me to walk away several times (all the toys were definetly thrown out of the pram!) before I could get the second end over the waterpump spigot. I ended up using the largest screwdriver I could find!

It is doable, and I would do it again if I had to.

Remember to disconnect the battery before you start,

I forgot to look where you are. If in the UK I can get you the UK Gates part number.

edit - obviously from the g'day, your not going to need the UK part number!!!
