Paint your shift linkage rod with hi-temp or BBQ paint.

Recommended Posts

That is all. Note to restorers, if you haven't thought of it already. You know the one I'm talking about -- the steel fore/aft rod on the left side of the transaxle that passes right by the exhaust manifold. Regular paint gets baked off of it quickly. I'm debating on hi-temp paint like for exhaust parts, or paint for BBQ grilles (because they hold up to the elements better, it seems). Any opinions? :sofa:

Tony,

Good Idea, Try it and let us know how you get on, probably work out cheaper than high temprature exhaust paint aswell, hopefully they do it in silver!

Good luck regards danny
