How do I change the air filter on a V8?

I've yet to have the opportunity to change mine, but from the looks of things, they're located behind a panel on either side of the engine. It appears to be attached by about 4 8mm head screw bolts. You'll recognize the panels by noting a piece of tubing going from the front of these panels (front being toward the passenger compartment) and making a big "u-turn" into the front of the engine.

yes they are right under the rear quarter windows in the engine compartment. I swapped mine for the K&N filters this spring. Not exactly a pleasure to change. The 2 bottom bolts are extremely tricky to get without loosing them into the exhaust manifold.
