slave leak

replaced hose ad slave last year and realized that the master was leaking also so just replaced it. after bleeding the master became empty after a few days without driving the car, checked for leak and saw leaking out of the slave cylinder where the boot is full of fluid. anyone have this problem as the slave has maybe 500km on it and why before i replace the inner seal

Upgrade today to remove Google ads and support TLF.

Sounds a bit srange, did you buy a new slave or just replace the seal. If its the latter not sure if you can fit the seal the wrong way around. In any case I would fit a new one, here in the UK they are about

ordered new kit seal i was wondering if the fact that i used synthetic oil before may have deteriorated the rubber seal

Do not think it would make any difference, most fluids say brake and clutch.

Hi

Do you happen to know if the slave cylinder is the same for a 1995 S4s?

My clutch only works if you pump it and I am losing clutch fluid underneath at the rear of the car and suspect it is from the slave cylinder - Only started yesterday, so I haven't had it up on a ramp yet.

It would be great if I could get a way with

Yes, it should be the same slave cylinder on a '95. :animier:
