[email protected]
Hi Does anyone happen to know if there are any specialist Esprit-friendly garages around the Essex area (Ilford in particular)? Many thanks Richard
Dave Freeman
Hi Richard, I only know of 2, I have never had any work done buy either so you will have to make you own enquiries. Barry Ely he is in north london, bottom of M11 and Ron Emerson, has a yard in Sawbridgeworth - can obtain numbers if you have problem in finding. What do you need doing as I have 1 known mechanic that I would recommend but it depends what you need done. Please advise. Dave

MPx
As Dave says....Barry Ely is on the Lee High Road in Leyton. Did well by me on my cars over several years, but has a mixed reputation on here to say the least. You could also try Sinclaires at Romford (near the A127 flyover roundabout). They really concentrate on the later (Elise on) cars, but have plenty of Lotus experience including Esprits. Not cheap....but good in my view. I suggest you do a search on here and you'll find threads with loads of dealers listed. Good luck with getting a good outcome. Loving Lionel and Eleanor......missing Charlie and Sonny

[email protected]
Many thanks for all the replies. Yes, it is the lights (possibly the switch from replies to my other recent post) as none of them are working at the moment. I also need to fit a new air-horn - I bought the kit from SJ sportscars but looks to be a bit fiddly to fit myself. Cheers Richard
neal
I'd strongly recommend Sinclaire's (near Gallows Corner, between Harold Wood and Gidea Park): http://www.sinclairebodyshop.co.uk/ It's true they look again Elises in the main but they did know a lot about the Esprit. Have done some pretty major jobs to mine over the last few years: new engine, new gearbox, bodywork repairs, etc. Edited May 22, 2009 by neal May: DON'T hit it with a hammer! Clarkson: Why? May: Cause it's the tool of a pikey.
